The Libertarian Party of Ohio is proud to report that our Summer Conference, held August 22โ24 at the Sonesta Downtown Columbus, was a great success. More than 70 members, candidates, guests, and coalition partners attended across the weekend, creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.
The program featured candidate training, dynamic panels, and documentary screenings. Panels in the main classroom covered STAR voting, election reform, tax reform, equal rights, and criminal justice reform, with insights from speakers and panelists including Chase Oliver, Cara Schulz, Cassaundra Fryman, Cynthia Brown, Travis Irvine, Michelle MacCutcheon, Mayor John Marra, Brian Massie, Beth Blackmarr, Matthew Farabaugh, Lis Regula, Jen Miller, Justin Wells, Duncan Siror, Catherine Turcer, and Tyler Fehrman. Documentaries shown in Breakout 1 added context and sparked lively discussion.
Social events rounded out the weekend with a Friday night Comedy Roast, a Saturday Ballot Access Celebration and Awards Banquet, and a Sunday brunch with elected Libertarians. These gatherings gave members the chance to celebrate victories and strengthen connections.
We thank our coalition partners, volunteers, donors, Central Committee, and Executive Committee for their leadership and support in making this conference possible.
