Turning Momentum Into Votes

Our party marches through this primary season with measurable progress and real momentum. More than 5,500 valid signatures were submitted to secure ballot access for three statewide candidates. Over seventy candidates were recruited across Ohio. Thirty-Eight have been certified for the May 5 primary ballot. This reflects disciplined field work, coordinated petition drives, and candidates willing to step forward.

Ballot access is the foundation. Organization is the structure. Turnout is the test.

Our true opponents in this primary are not the red team or the blue team. Our opponents are staying home, disengagement, disenfranchisement, and the belief that one vote will not matter. Primary elections are decided by those who show up. Low expectations suppress participation. Apathy is the obstacle we must defeat.

May 5th is our opportunity to demonstrate strength in a measurable way. Our working goal is 100,000 voters pulling a Libertarian primary ballot. A stretch goal is 175,000. A shoot the moon target is 200,000. Each additional ballot pulled increases visibility, credibility, and long-term leverage.

Field operations remain central. County leadership, petition teams, door knocking, event presence, and voter contact must intensify. Every candidate should function as a turnout engine. Every county should track outreach weekly. Direct voters contact drives primary participation.

Risks remain. Fundraising is limited. Competitive statewide exposure requires resources. Compliance costs, printing, data, and travel require discipline. Candidate challenges, petition reviews, and procedural hurdles consume time and money. Primary voter turnout is historically low.

Opportunity is equally real. Our eventual opponents are discouraging their own members from participating through insider endorsements and closed processes. Voters who feel sidelined look for alternatives. An open ballot and active candidate slate provide contrast.

Momentum must convert to turnout. Turnout must overcome apathy. Apathy must be replaced with participation.

One hundred thousand ballots is realistic. One hundred seventy-five thousand is ambitious. Two hundred thousand requires full engagement in every county.

Early in-person voting starts April 7th. Absentee ballots can be requested now. Statewide precinct voting is May 5th.

Make a plan to vote. Talk to your family, friends and friendly neighbors.

Execution will determine the outcome.
