Libertarians of Montgomery Condemn the Dayton Mask Mandate
The Libertarian Party of Montgomery County voted unanimously during their monthly executive meeting on September 16, 2021 to condemn the Dayton Mask Mandate.
The Dayton Mask Mandate, voted unanimously by the city commissioners, requires everyone to wear a mask or other facial covering while indoors at a public venue, or face an $85 fine.
Libertarian Party of Montgomery County Secretary Joe Hendrix said “We’re not saying masks are ineffective or that you shouldn’t wear one. What we’re saying is that it should be up to either individuals or individual businesses.”
The full text of the ordinance mandating masks can be found here: https://www.daytonohio.gov/DocumentCenter/View/11468/2021-Indoor-Mask-Ordinance.
